Dear Dwight Business Owner,

We are excited to share that the Dwight Area Chamber of Commerce is officially relaunching, and we invite you to be part of this new chapter.

Since September 2025, a group of local business owners has been meeting and has taken the following important steps to rebuild and re-establish the Chamber:

• Incorporated with the State of Illinois

• Established bylaws and elected a Board of Directors

• Opened a bank account

• Launched our website at www.dwightchamber.com

A Chamber of Commerce can be a powerful engine for economic vitality and a catalyst for broader community development. It is a network of people who care about the future of the place they live and work. It is a space where business owners connect, learn from one another, grow together, and contribute to something larger than their individual efforts. 

By choosing to conduct business in Dwight, you have invested in this community. You opened your doors here. You hired locally and serve neighbors who have become customers—and customers who have become friends. 

We understand that your schedule is full, and the idea of adding one more meeting or commitment may not be appealing. However, we hope you will consider joining us. We will be holding open monthly meetings where businesses can connect with fellow business owners and foster meaningful collaboration.

Partnering with the Chamber is not a promise of immediate customers or guaranteed growth, and we do not claim to have all of the answers. What we can promise is a shared commitment to strengthening our local business community.

For those who join our efforts, we aim to provide:

• Networking and collaboration opportunities

• Business education workshops

• Information on grants and funding opportunities for businesses looking to grow or update

To help us get established, we are asking for an initial minimum $100 Founding Investment from each business. As we grow, a formal dues structure will be developed. This initial investment will help us re-establish our roots and build a strong foundation for the future.
